This year’s the 40th anniversary of the most successful sci-fi franchise in Hollywood, Star Wars. In celebration of their Ruby Anniversary, Stern Pinball has announced that it is developing a new Star Wars pinball machine.
The new pinball machine franchises the Star Wars: New Hope, which follows the most recent franchise by Williams, the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
The table will be designed by the classic designer Steve Ritchie. In the soon-to-be released pinball machine, expect to see three editions of the table, namely: the Pro, Premium and the Limited Edition. Each table features unique artworks that depict e the scenes and themes from the original trilogy, including A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and the Return of the Jedi.
Among the features to look forward to in the 40th anniversary pinball machine are as follows:
- Side art and front glass with images from the popular Star Wars flicks: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. E
- A video screen where clips from the films will be shown
- Cool art featuring the most popular Star Wars characters
- Sculpted playfield toys
The release date is yet to be announced and is appraised by Robert Workman at Comicbook.com around $5999 range for the limited tables.
